Fashion with attitude!
In the summer of 2003, Shelly Adams was working as a receptionist for Maximillian’'s Hair Designs and decided to started selling purses and jewelry in his shop. With the loving support of friends and family, her little corner of his shop began to grow into her own little boutique. Then the day came when Max approached Shelly and said: “I’m going to have to do hair on the porch or you’'re going to have to get your own place." So Shelly did just that. In October of 2003, they knocked down a wall and “A Little Bit Gaudy” was born.
In 2005, Hurricane Rita rolled in and out of town and took A Little bit Gaudy with it. Shelly salvaged what she could, bought a trailer and took ALBG on the road until she rented a spot on MLK in Orange, Texas and has been there ever since. 3,000 Square feet and a few years later, Maximillian’s Hair Design has his own little corner in A Little Bit Gaudy (Teehee). Shelly says that it’s been a joy to have the love and support of her loyal friends and family, and of course, her customers.
A Little Bit Gaudy is the boutique that started it all. Gaudy became fashionable in Southeast Texas very quickly. Shelly considers her clothing flashy but not trashy. A Little Bit Gaudy strives to carry unique apparel and merchandise to help offer ladies of all ages and sizes to dress just a little "Outside the box." Shelly's number rule for sucess its to keep customers first. She believes how you treat people is important and knows that they aren't just her customers, they're her friends.
